Hello all, i have a 64 bit machine with 64 bit rhel 5 installed over it. i first installed 32 bit jdk (jdk-1_5_0_12-linux-i586.rpm) on it. #rpm -qa | grep jdk shows following output:. Java development kit contains the software and tools that you need to compile, debug, and run applets and applications that you've written using the java. Thats just it the following command will only install a 64 bit version yum install java-1.7.0-openjdk i am looking for a 32 bit bersion, hopefully that can be installed by yum, not rpm.
